About

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Media Studies at Louisiana Tech University.

I am a rhetorician of health and medicine and medical humanities. My book, Bacteria, Bodies, and Boundaries, which focuses on Clostridioides difficile and the human microbiome, is in progress and under contract at Michigan State University Press.

I have attended the Cornell School of Criticism and Theory, received a Tanner Humanities Center Graduate Fellowship, and received the University of Utah Department of Communication's Student Teacher of the Year Award.

When I am not reading, writing, or teaching, you will find me hiking trails with my companion Agnes.
